References to "RentSmarter", "we", "us", or "our" in these Terms refer to Harish Steels & Hardwares in its capacity as the operator of the RentSmarter platform. RentSmarter is not a separate legal entity — it is a product brand of Harish Steels & Hardwares.
By registering for or using RentSmarter.in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in India.
RentSmarter.in is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform provided by Harish Steels & Hardwares, designed for property owners, managers, and tenants to manage rental properties, leases, payments, utility bills, and related communications. The Platform provides:
Admin/Manager Users: Access is granted by the property management organisation. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Tenant Users: Tenants log in via a one-time password (OTP) sent to their registered mobile number. You are responsible for keeping your registered mobile number accurate and up to date.

All rent payments and charges recorded on the Platform are managed between the property owner/manager and the tenant. RentSmarter.in serves as a record-keeping and notification tool and does not process or hold any funds on behalf of any party.
Users are responsible for the accuracy of data entered on the Platform including tenant details, lease terms, transaction amounts, and contact information. RentSmarter.in is not liable for errors arising from incorrect data entry.
All content, software, trademarks, and other intellectual property on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Harish Steels & Hardwares. The "RentSmarter" brand name, logo, and all associated marks are the property of Harish Steels & Hardwares. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Platform without prior written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Harish Steels & Hardwares (operating as RentSmarter.in) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.
We strive to maintain 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Platform or its users.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the Platform or email.
